Hey guys, so I don't know if this is a stupid idea but there is this series of images that used to be a huge source of daydreaming for me a long time ago.
It was this background theme for igoogle's news feed that showed an asian fox living in a rural teahouse as he conducted various small tasks and activities throughout his day. Feeding ducks, looking at the stars, paddling a small boat, that kind of thing. It would change every two hours so it was fairly dynamic. Like, there was always something new he was doing if you were patient enough to wait there. I just remember it being really peaceful and nice, you know?
It's one of the very few MD sources I have that isn't gruesome, ugly, dark, provocative, or psychopath related in any way and I feel like I need to spend less time with all that jazz and more time with more positive things such as the Teahouse Fox. I get too into the former and it can be very bad for my health.
Anyways, the point I'm getting at is every time after eighth grade that I've tried to go back to this guy I end up feeling bummed out for whatever reason. Plus, I'm still having trouble meditating properly. So, I wanted to give this a try and see if it yields any positive results.
Do you think this is worth trying? Should I not use anything visual when I meditate? I'm going to try it once after I post this and see how it goes. I was even considering playing a song I found too (https://youtu.be/FjHGZj2IjBk)
I think you should go for it. Anything that you could do to lessen the load on your mind (unless it's dangerous, but I assume that would just increase the load in the long run) is worth a try. If it becomes problematic then you can address that problem when it arises, but it is still worth a shot for now.
