Ever since I can remember I have made up situations in my head. These situations are always about my life, and always include people which I know exist, whether I know them personally or not. However they almost never include celebrities or movie characters etc. because they are seemingly realistic (could happen in my day to day life)
I find that about 90% of these situations are to do with a group of people who I used to be friends with, but for multiple reasons am no longer part of, although the group still exists (it would be fair to say I feel quite left out).
These situations are basically always me talking out loud (mostly whispering though so my family cannot hear) and talking as if I am having a conversation with someone else, then in my mind I quickly assume what they would say back, and I respond. I also act out the situation, such as if we were at someones house I might be walking across the room, or going to hug someone, and I almost always make facial expression etc.
The themes of these situations are quite mundane, usually just normal conversations, but I've come to realise that they all seem to have me as a focus, as if I was wanted in that group and was really close friends with them
but the situations arent really continuous, theres not one long running plot, just lots of small 'conversations'
These situations happen almost constantly, and can be embarrassing at times if people hear, but I have never noticed massive signs of disruption in my life because of it, such as I can sleep well, I do well in my school work and can have normal conversations etc.
Once I realise I'm daydreaming I usually stop, because I find it embarrassing and wish I wouldn't do it in the first place, but sometimes I do continue but usually trail off because I'm not as into it anymore
I'm rambling now but feels good to write it down aha, anyone have any thoughts? I'm not sure if I do meet the critera for MD but perhaps just wish for my life to be different - oh and I'm an only child living with just my dad, so alone a lot if that adds to it
