Hello, I need some advice about MD to keep it under control. I also mentioned in another article that I daydreaming around 2 hours per day. My MD It hasn't become yet maladaptive, however, to prevent this, what should I do? should I care about what I dream about?

You need to occupy yourself in order to not become preoccupied with daydreams, which I understand feels impossible due to quarantine. I was constantly daydreaming until I started my job last week, now it's only at the end of the day before bed and I feel like I "earned" it. Pick up a hobby, but maybe not something that will encourage you to daydream even more like reading, watching TV, etc.

To keep your daydreaming from becoming maladaptive, pay attention to why you're daydreaming. A lot of us use daydreaming as a coping mechanism, at least at first. If you're aware of that, you can learn healthier coping skills and hopefully use them instead of relying just on daydreaming.

Hello, I need some advice about MD to keep it under control. I also mentioned in another article that I daydreaming around 2 hours per day. My MD It hasn't become yet maladaptive, however, to prevent this, what should I do? should I care about what I dream about? Hope this is not turning into daily long hours of worry @tempest. Worry is normal and any other negative feelings are and too much needs to be taking into mind with care. I am sure a good imagination around daydreaming is normal for some without even knowing about maladaptive daydreaming or us and how we stay together and support each other. My father as an over imagination is he is leading towards immersive daydreaming as he talks about it sometimes. He does this to relate with on some level and to give me comfort as I can be obsessive around my mental health. He says it will do you no good and keep me within the pain I get from it and says its not the right way of recovering as it will be back and forth with my recovery. he has gone through so much and understands a good bit as his sister/my aunty has paranoid schizophrenia well she hasn't been unwell for years and years now. His advise makes me think this way similar about maladaptive daydreaming that if I feed to the more I think and get obsessed over it. As for you questions if everyone just to keep on top of health mental health would be within Self care Eating healthy as much as possible if there is issues that need to be taking with care around exercise managing stress and worry Healthy sleep pattern maintaining purpose and life goals I saw this within hospital I know we talk about this within our threads on the forum so see if you can find any that you can have an input on like sam 's monthly goals thread. Also see if mediation would be something that you might get into to keep focus and concentration and practiced every so often when suits well help ground your mind and bring you into the present so the mind doesn't wonder with ease.
