Hello! My name is Jade, I'm a 16 year old only child and I have been daydreaming ever since I can remember. I thought I was the only one like this, until last year when I googled it and found that it's really MD. To start my daydreams, I listen to music with my earbuds at max volume, and then I go to a specific part of my room to pace. I pace for hours and hours, yesterday I even had almost 25,000 steps. In my daydreams, I base everything of movies, TV shows, and video games with their characters or a few of my own. Unfortunately, my room is right above my dad's, so I have to be careful of when I pace so he doesn't wake up. Whenever I have tried to tell my friends, they say something along the lines of " that's so cool I wish I could daydream like that!" It just makes me feel more guilty about feeling guilty already. Do you want to destroy your ears and dissociate for hours every day? Because I don't. Anyway, glad to see that I'm not alone, and hopefully I can get help before college comes and I have to get a job.

Welcome to the forum, Jade!
What you're experiencing is pretty common. If you look around the forum, especially on the "help and research" board, you'll find a plethora of tips for dealing with MD.
