hello! im new i need some advice on what to think as im falling asleep. ive fallen asleep daydreaming for a long time and now i dont know what to think about as im laying down. for those who try to treat their MD, what do you guys think about as you’re trying to sleep?
I haven't been doing it so much recently, but late last year I had some success with imagining a calming and relaxing scene that doesn't include other people (my daydreams always have other people in them, so I wanted to differentiate these scenes from them). Like crocheting at the beach or reading in a cozy little house while its raining outside. Basically it just needs to be something that you find relaxing that you can focus on while you're falling asleep. Bonus points if you can listen to corresponding sounds at the same time, like waves or rain, to help you feel more immersed in the scene.
Don't give up what you want most for what you want now.
