Hi this is Shra. I am mother of a 7 year old boy. I was a big day dreamer. But i faced many problems due to uncontrolled habit of daydreaming. I am sure i could have achieved a lot if i could have controlled daydreaming.
Now i can see my son doing same mistake. I need help so that he could control in time and save his life.
Hope i will get help from you all 😃

Welcome to the forum, Shra!
Daydreaming in the way that we would consider maladaptive as adults is actually completely normal for children. Children tend to spend more time in their fantasy worlds than out of them. As they get older, they make the shift from preferring daydreaming and imaginary friends to preferring real life and experiences that they have in real life. If your child hasn't made that shift by the time they are in their tweens or early teens, then that might be a good time to try to do something about it, but right now, chances are what your child is experiencing is totally normal.
