New Daydreamer
To live is to suffer, to survive is to find some meaning in the suffering. - Nietzsche

So I’ve been daydreaming approximately since I was 5 yrs old (I’m 42 now). I have a few different scenarios I engage in & have had them for 16 years, give or take a few years. I’m getting very concerned that I’ve over-extended the characters & have no new material to draw from. My characters are loosely based on certain TV shows characters (shows are now canceled) or a movie. I’m finding it difficult to come up with new daydream material & it’s genuinely distressing me. I feel disconnected from my daydreams; empty without them. I don’t want to leave my characters behind, but I don’t want to be bored either. Suggestions?

For me, the best way to get new material is to watch new shows or read new books. Sometimes it creates a new daydream world, but other times it just gives me scenes, dialogue, and interactions to add to my current daydream world with the characters that I already have.
