I'm a teenager, and I started daydreaming at the beginning of the pandemic. I used it as more of a coping strategy to get away from all the bad things happening. I found out about this forum a few weeks ago, and I felt relieved to know what I was experiencing was happening to other people, too! I usually daydream at night, and it helps me sleep. MD doesn't interfere with my life too much, but I almost always lie in bed past my alarm to daydream. In the mornings, it can sometimes be a little frustrating to wake up in the morning, since I want to daydream. My daydreams aren't very active during the day, since I have online school which keeps me distracted. Thank you!

Hi there and welcome to the forum! We'ere happy to have you here! I'm also a teenager like you but I have it way more severe. It interferes with my daily life and I can't seem to face reality 80% of the time. I'm trying to manage it and not let it consume all of my life especially now that I'm in high school. All I can say is for right now is to keep an eye on your fantasizing and try and find some new hobbies that you can do whenever you feel the urge to daydream. Maybe try setting an alarm for your bedtime or your wake-up time. I'm glad that online school actually distracts you because I zone out all the time at school (and I go 2-3 times a week in person). But I hope you're making good grades because I'm lacking a few assignments that are gonna hurt my grades soon but I'll manage. If you ever have any questions or need to vent/rant about anything...there will always be at least one person to help you out. Responses kinda take awhile (we're all humans dealing with our lives) but no one will judge you or say anything bad to you. We can all relate to how you're feeling if you have anything. We're all just good people trying to help one another and find a cure/treatment for this insane condition. I hope you take of yourself and stay safe out there in the world for it's a dangerous and scary time we live in right now. I found this forum at the end of May so I'm still kinda new? Anyways, I gotta go and get some sleep it's almost half past midnight where I'm at (you can be anywhere around the world now) and I have school in the following hours of my day. I hope you take care boo and do a little more research on this condition when you have the time so you can see what everyone is talking about. Thanks for reading !
