There were a couple of videos that came out of MDers in the midst of daydreaming. I couldn't really connect with them because I don't daydream in the same way (pacing/acting). So I tried to film myself doing it in the car (where I am 100% guaranteed to DD). Unfortunately it was just 27 minutes of me being hyper aware of the camera and I didn't get anything.
I might try again though. Maybe a bunch of times until I start to forget about the recording and can DD deep in front of it. I don't know, I just kinda get the feeling the video will show me something I didn't know about before. I doubt I'd ever show it to anyone, just for personal reference/growth.
Anyway, ever tried recording your MD? Want to?

God No! I hate the way I look and sound at the best of times and the idea of seeing me making odd faces when I dd would be seriously cringe worthy. Although maybe seeing it would be good motivation to not do it so much.

Ooooooohhhhh nooooo won't do that in many centuries I already dreaded out when seeing school documentary of stage play about "lost in forest" and caught me dding. I was pacing by circling and making gestures, dding to walk inside forests alone. But hey I'm not regret to ruin the play, no matter my friends told me I'm blanked out or weird. The stage play was boring and popular students as usual took the whole part to become "lost ones" while some students like me are just become prop. Only not like seeing my expression was really immersed to dd lol.

Not to be dramatic, but I’d rather die than face the humiliating reality of how crazy I look when I daydream. Like I’m already painfully aware of it, so there’s no need to do it. I don’t know what purpose it would serve other than an attempt to shame myself into not doing it, which wouldn’t work anyways .

Lol, I hadn't really thought of it that way; I guess I imagined it would be like posting. I comment in MD communities a lot, it seems to help me, and it happens all the time that in the middle of a post I realize something about my MD or myself that I hadn't before. I guess I figure If I can connect x behavior to x DD I'll somehow figure something out?? I mean, I don't fucking know, lol, maybe it's a useless endeavor that will tell me nothing, I don't even know wtf I'm really expecting from it. Just sort of seems like the next thing to figure out.

I would try to film myself, but I don't do it while sitting down anymore so it would be a little difficult to actually capture it. I also agree that I would be hyperaware of the camera. However, that might be a potential temporary block against daydreaming. I mean, if you're so hyperaware of the camera that you don't daydream, then you won't daydream. I would imagine that you would get used to the camera over time and it would stop working though; hence the "temporary" label.

I've actually heard of people setting up mirrors in the areas they daydream to achieve the same result. Mirrors don't work for me though, I love them and have them all over my house, lol, plus I remain still when DDing so I'm unlikely to catch a glimpse of myself pacing around.
