Ok so I got a while ago about our main characters for our story and what way they are like me only if you want to talk about it taught are main characters are important for our story. I will tell you a bit about one of mine. So I didn't really change my name. My character is a lot more pretty popular then me she has no social anxiety, loads of confidence doesn't let anyone put her down. I work on the one Character for as long as I can remember at first she didn't have confidence as I was going though a hard time been bullied and as that part of my life stopped I changed her personality. Now that I am getting older she is changing again. This helped me remember how much I have grown over time too when I am in one of my daydreams. So tell me a bit about your main Character and what way they represent you?? Let try and keep this thread going please.

Most of the time my main character is me or I'm looking through the eyes of the main character, if that makes sense. The character is always smarter, has more skills, better health etc. They have changed over the years though. As a child my characters had lives that were always going to be unobtainable or impossible. There would be characters that could do magic, from other worlds, had famous lives all that sort of thing. Now my dd's are more realistic. In someways that's worse as its difficult seeing things that are easy to others but impossible for me.

I have a lot of main characters (I'm not in my DDs) but I think it works the same way; they have grown and changed a lot over time. Evil ones have become good, Good ones have become evil, everyone is a jumbled mix of a lot of things. I'm sure that what they are and what the become is somehow wrapped up in what I am and where I think I'm going, but it's not readily obvious to me what it all means, or if it's even terribly important to me what it might mean.

My characters tend to be very different from me even though some of their themes in life aren't. When they learn and evolve I get so exited and I also feel like it resolves issues within myself. I wish they were real. As a child I was a character in my dd more.
My characters are also kind of private. I normally don't tell many people about them. Only those that I trust and know irl.

Thanks for sharing just how we see ourselves within our characters and how important they are as part of MDD.

What I do for my DD, is to instead of having only one character represents me, I got at least 3. They all represents some part of me, and whenever I find myself to change, I focus on the main character that is more similar to my feeling at that time, and he will participate a more central role than the others for a period of time.
One main character has never changed though, who has been my crush in real life for the last 11 years. Sometimes I think that I can rotate my MD this way is because of the issues hurting my head has been mostly related to her, but guess I won't know until I got my crush change.

My characters had changed throughout my story and life too. Being old, being wiser. Either wise for good or wise for evil. Thing that not change is their jokes that often silly. From all, maybe my very first character is the slowest one who changed as he was supposed to have similar personality with me. He often questioned his true self, goals, as he lived without much social life. He start to find them after he enter military music and met colleagues. The development of him took 5 years from 2014 yet the other character only a year or less. Again, he doesn't reflect me that much. At least he never got bullied.
