Hello, I'm an 16-year old student(englisch is not my motherlanguage, so I might make some mistakes), I learned about a week ago what MD is and I realized, that it perfectly describes my main problem. If I count together the total time I've already spend daydreaming, it would be years. I don`t exactly remember when this started, probably in elementary school. I've read that MD is often caused by trauma, but since I don't have any, it might just have a natural cause.
There are no specific triggers, but I often daydream when I should do something for school, so I'm not a really good student. I've switched classes very often, which is why I have changing friends. I often don't know how to communicate with other people too, I don't know what to say to them. This is my first time that I post something in a forum and I actually have to overcome myself with writing this(which is the reason why i write this so late-I hope it's okay).
What helps me controlling my MD a bit is doing sports. I've attended climbing and self-defence courses for years, but since I can't do them any more, my MD got worse. Apart from sports, I love drawing or researching about different topics randomly. I am really thankful for this forum - it gives me hope that I am not alone and that I can change. If you really read all of this - thank u soooo much for your attention If not - thank u for trying
