I noticed that every time I go to daydream I have to have the right song or music to suit my story. I will spend a few minutes before I find the right one and if I go though a few stories at a time I would have to keep switching songs to suit. It annoys me if I can't find the right one to suit my daydream so I go looking for new music to inspire me. I say this happens to most of us? Plus I even doe I find it hard to start off my daydreams at time when I am driving in my car and a good song come on it like activates one of my daydreams straight away.

I do this too. Most of my music comes from those edit videos on Instagram. You know, the ones of shows and movies and stuff? They're usually emotionally charged, so it makes it easy for me to listen to them and slip into daydreaming.

It depends on the daydream. I have one or two songs that automatically make me daydream and I play them on repeat or make a playlist or a few. Most of the time I have music on as it filters out the world rather than is needed to actually trigger my daydream.

I don't really need the music all the time to trigger my daydreams I sometime daydream without music and if I am in a situation where I am in public and something happens to make me zone out and start to daydream but its just that my stories are much more vivid with music I find for me anyway.

Usually when I don't know what music that really matches the dd, the classical music or game soundtracks will do the trick. There's big chance the song will be changes one to another, with also big chance to know how fast/slow the beat that we need for the dd.

Me too. Different songs suit different stories. Also parts of them suit certain phases in the dream (ex. the climax has to match the dream's most intense moment).

Well now the music is in my daydreams. My characters are famous and I make music videos for them in my head when I listen to music. Otherwise, I not really listening to the music, it’s just blocking out everything else for me to daydreams.
