I think when I run into problems with daydreaming is when I try to figure out minute details and agonize over every choice I could make to fill it out. When I am more laid back about it I can do other things effectively while I daydream.

Before I had Internet my DD world was very sloppy and inaccurate, but now I never create a world without documenting. Not too deeply though, because it might become boring and annoying. But I've created a fictional realistic country and a fantasy world, and I'm very proud of it.

Trying to get every detail right can take soooo much mental energy and time. Sometimes it even gets frustrating because it's impossible to get everything right. Except for people with hyperphantasia I guess.

I lean the opposite way, I purposely avoid learning too many details, otherwise it will screw with the world rules and head cannon I've already established.

I suppose the details in my stories depends on the actual parts inn my story or where I am at I will work more on details if I need to but not too much like adventures stories I will go into more detail with them but not my basic stories plus I have just been thinking of it as most of my details are from somewhere from memory. I need to get more creative with them I think

I redo or add more details to previous scenes constantly. I just make a foundation then add, but sometimes it changes the foundation. It’s weird.
