Has anyone else had a (night/sleeping) dream inspire a new day dream, or reignite an old one? I had a semi vivid dream a couple of weeks ago, and as I was waking up about it, it made me think of an old daydream I had a few years back. It's now my primary DD upgraded with tweaks from the old. I had forgotten how addictive 'new' DD's can be (Been on my previous fantasy world for years.). It's tough because being an adult, reality demands more of my attention, and I've found myself getting moody because I can't slip into my DD as much as I'd like.

Happened to me fairly recently. I don't usually dream about my DD characters but it happens from time to time. I had a really vivid and coherent one not too long ago. Woke up and immediately had to find a way to shoehorn it into the plot somehow.

It does cause me to switch daydreams for a while. My daydreams never gets "old" though, I only have a few daydreams that are developed for years, my brain can simply hit a "replay" button and I can have them play/modify anytime when I want to.

If I count it all, only 4 times that my nightdream has relation with daydream and vice versa. 2 was my daydream affected my nightdream, and other 2 was my nightdream become my daydream. Weird, but yes, it's real
