Dear Member of the Maladaptive Daydreaming Community,
We would like to invite you to share your experience of maladaptive daydreaming (MD) in our new study on daydreaming and sleep quality. This research will investigate how daydreaming, mind wandering, and sleep change from day to day over a period of 8 days. We believe this research is important because it can improve our understanding of MD and how it affects people’s daily lives.
The study will involve completing a short survey (5-10 minutes) every day after 6pm for 8 consecutive days. The survey will ask you a series of questions about your daydreaming and mind wandering habits that day, and about the quality of your last sleep.
This is an opportunity for you to provide us with valuable insight into your lived experiences!
The study will begin on a predetermined date – likely to be in late April. If you choose to participate we will inform you of the start date. Once the study begins we will send you daily reminders to complete the survey over the 8 days. Participation in this study is entirely voluntary and your data will be strictly confidential and stored anonymously.
We greatly appreciate your previously stated interest in promoting MD research! It is thanks to experts-by-experience like you that we are able to move MD research forward, raise awareness, and develop effective treatments.
If you are able to take part in this study, please let us know by replying to this email at your earliest convenience.
Kind regards,
Eli Somer David Marcusson-Clavertz Melina West Oscar Kjell
