Hey,
My name's Lucillia Forrest and I'm new here. Basically, my daydreaming started as far as back in my childhood as I can remember. I found out last year that this weird daydreaming thing had a name and I was really happy to know I wasn't the only one.
Sometimes, I love daydreaming and sometimes I don't. Daydreaming takes so much time out of my life: I can't focus on lessons and now I'm failing tests. But, I just can't stop daydreaming. I live for my daydreams; they make me so happy.
I believe my daydreaming came from a trauma I endured in my childhood and is still happening. I believe it's a way to get myself away from reality and to not break down crying.
I just can't handle daydreaming and sometimes I wish I was a normal person, who didn't daydream so much that they are obsessed with their fantasy characters.
But I think I found a way to prevent myself from being obsessed with a daydream (I have multiple daydreams). It's to write a book about your daydream. This really helped me. When I was writing my book, I began to get bored with that specific daydream because of how much time I spent writing the book and how much faults I found in the daydream. And now I'm not that obsessed with that daydream and I can't get back into it as much.
Now, I just wish I can put all my daydreams behind me and move on with my life in REALITY
Thanks for reading this,
Lucillia Forrest.

Welcome to the forum! I agree with Dimmer that there have been people who have mentioned that writing about their daydreams has helped them, but I can't remember or find the people or the posts. There is a thread here just about writing in general that you might like.

I’m doing this for my latest daydream. It’s my most expansive daydream based on the people of my life. I think it’s the most success I’ve ever had when wanting to write or be anything resembling an author. Would love to hear more!
