I was just curious if you have a lot of real life friends. I have found it really difficult lately. I have changed jobs and alot of my social life revolved around my work colleagues who since leaving most of them no longer stay in contact which I've found difficult. My friend who I met at school and known for years I used to see on girls nights out but now she has a baby so I've seen her once in the last 5 months but I've seen on Facebook she's out socialising with other mums on weekends. When I feel lonely I fall more into my daydreams. I just dont know how you make new friends in your 30s.

I have friends from college which I get it hard at times to keep in contact with use to wait for them to contact me now I pick up the phone a text or ring them and we have been talking more since. Have you been trying to contact you colleagues and stay in touch with them.

When I feel lonely I fall more into my daydreams. I just dont know how you make new friends in your 30s. I'm also in my 30's and I don't have any RL friends. I really struggle socially, have a few health issues and I was agoraphobic for many years so lost touch with everyone from my past. Its so hard trying to make new friends but I've found it nearly impossible to meet new people as an adult especially as most people my age are married/in relationships, have jobs, hobbies and families and I have none of these things. There are websites such as MeetUp that may help you find things to do in your area. I don't know what country you are in so different things will be relevant to you, do you have a hobby that there may be a group to attend locally?

Friends leave little time for daydreaming and daydreaming leaves no time for friends. I have tried many times, but always end up not answering my phone or even checking my facebook. When I do it's too late. I just forget about everybody if they don't call.

I don't have many friends anymore, so I have plenty of time to daydream

I've never had a lot of friends in my life.
I'm in my twenties and I just don't know how to make friends.

Well i am in my teens and there is this one friend which still calls me. She keeps me as part of social life by calling me at least once a week. Sort of i don't have anyone except her i guess.
