Hi everyone, I'm Amy.
I've been addicted to daydreaming for 13 years. I've struggled with it for a while, but sometimes this "disorder" is one of my greatest strengths, giving me such creativity and courage. As an artist my imagination is so valuable, and I've learned to respect it over the years.
It wasn't until my early 20s that I started to wonder if others had the same dreaming "habit" as me, and then I stumbled upon Wild Minds. This opened up my eyes to a whole new world, and changed me.
Now, at 26, I struggle to gain the life I missed out on growing up, and deal with my anxiety and depression. However, I plan on finally achieving my independence, which is something I'm looking forward to.

Great to know you’ve found positive sides of your daydreams and that you struggle to improve your life! Btw here we have the whole self-promotion board - feel free to upload your works there, it’d be great to see them What was your nickname on WM?

Thanks for the words of encouragement, Sweet Air. Hi Alison! That's a great suggestion, I do have art works I post on my Instagram, I can upload some to the self-promotion board I believe I had an account as Kassandra Pam, it was a pen name I had years ago...

I struggle to gain the life I missed out on growing up This is something I think about a lot. I never truly lived in the moment, my mind was always elsewhere. But I think that it worked out beautifully in some instances and difficult periods.

This is something I think about a lot. I find it best to live in the moment, as once I start of my past and how my time is gone and was wasted, or the future and how I need to do something about it, I am put in a bad mood.
Maybe you can start a thread if this is something that comes up a lot for you.
I'm the same. I'm getting better at living in the moment, much better than I used to be. The practise of Mindfulness is supposed to be good for that. A thread might be a good idea.
