Kids who were abused or feel helpless and stuck in a bad situation... they succumb to the feeling that they are doomed. It feels like it's forever and their brain is trained that it's forever. Even when they grow up and they're out of the situation, they're brain is the same: trained to think they're doomed forever. This is called C-PTSD.
