I'm a senior in high school with less than 40 days until graduation and I feel so burntout. This morning I had a 2-hour break between my morning classes and instead of working on my final paper for my Civil War class, I just MD the entire two hours. I'm so burnt out from school and all I want to do is relax. Though I can't sit still long enough even just to read or watch YouTube. My mind is just so much more entertaining and better than my few final assignments. I just want the school year to be over so I can have one relaxing summer or at least start some menial summer job. Anything but the slog of essays and math exams.
My brain doesn't even focus half the time when I'm doing them. A good 30% somewhere is just off building my MD world.

I have my online classes going on and during the long breaks, I will be exhausted and I used to end up daydreaming. So to be productive during that part, I will take a small break and I will talk to someone (make sure it is not related to studies). After a few minutes, I will do a five minutes guided meditation which makes me realise that I have to study and cant let my emotions control my mind. So then I will do a pomodoro method of 25mins or 50mins with 5mins or 10 mins breaks (respectively). I found it productive. So take small breaks while studying and do exercise like five push ups or atleast ten jumps. Watch some motivational video or podcast during the break, so that will motivate you to study. But the most effective one is the meditation (preferably the guided ones which keeps your mind in the present). Just five to ten minutes, each day will be helpful to alert your mind to focus. You will see the results progressively. You can find the guided meditation in youtube or there are also apps for it. So check them and All the best for your exams.
