Hi everyone, I’m Jordan and I’m pretty sure I just discovered I have MDD. I’ve always had a super vivid imagination, but in the last 6 or 7 years I have just been obsessed. Usually my daydreams are me as characters in my favorite movie or tv show (right now it’s Criminal Minds... I’ve changed almost every episode in my head to add myself as a character as well as added new ones specifically for me), but when I don’t have enough time or full focus to go there I go to my real life daydreams with people I know. For years I’ve been googling trying to explain what I feel to see if I’m just crazy, and it was so amazing tonight to read an actual name for this. I love my daydreams, but at the same time I hate them because it’s to the point where I am uncomfortable, unhappy, and stressed when I am not in them. I’m hoping that in talking about it here wih people that understand will help me to balance my fantasies and real life!
