I’m new here, had no idea this was a real disorder

Hey there! My name is Addy, I’m 21 years old and female and Ive been excessively daydreaming since I was 10 or 11. I’m currently a student at community college and I have a lot of attention issues especially with online classes. I guess I never really acknowledged that this could be interfering with the reality of my life in some ways. I have a lot of health issues now and anxiety as well, but I didn’t have these problems when I was younger so I don’t know why I have this compulsion to go into my own little world for hours at a time. It all started when I found anime and then I created my own anime character in an anime world that has her own plot in every different anime I watch OMG this is so embarrassing Ive never talked about this in detail. I have so much more to share and I’m happy that I found a place where I can feel comfortable and safe sharing my experience of excessively daydreaming all the time and reading other’s experiences as well.
