Hi everyone. Eccentricish here. I am new to the DIB world. A couple of months ago, this girl from my class told me that she's reading a fanfic and the main character has Maladaptive daydreaming. Then she goes, "you know, you probably have it too." As soon as I reached my room, I surfed the net for the meaning of the term. And lo and behold! The thing that's been bugging my day to day life simce I was a child has an actual term and further more, I'm not alone in this. I was checking the net for "cure" to MD and that's how I stumbled across this beautiful site.
Q. How do you guys practice mindfulness or how to you guys cope with MD? I am in a pickle, I don't have much time until my uni finals and I can't seem to get out of my head. Any suggestion/advice/help would be great, thank you!

Welcome to the forum!
In general, anything that helps to keep you present and/or cope with things that happen in real life better should help reduce your need to daydream maladaptively. That’s why things like mindfulness, exercise, and journaling can be beneficial.
