Hi Everyone
How do I stop being so obsessed with the exact details of my daydreams?
Mine usually have to be somewhat realistic, but it’s now at the point where the exact details are becoming really important, even though the whole scenario is very unlikely in itself.
I even went on Google Earth to pinpoint exactly where I would be staying (as in a hotel) and what streets I would be walking down to make the situation as realistic as possible.
These details don’t really matter do they? And plus it kind of ruins the whole daydream experience when going over the exact details.
Anyone know how I can calm this down? And does anyone else get fixated over the small details?

Hi yesitsmae, I understand what are you going through, it must be so hard and annoying that you can't control your thoughts.
Have your tried to practice mindfulness? It's not easy at first, but you can try for a few minutes in the beginning.
I can relate to your problem; I have the same issue as well. It's so annoying when i spent so long at it.

I am new here, I don't know how much people use this platform but seeing people have the same problem as me kinda feel normal that I'm not alone. I love interior design and in my daydreaming I literally designed my entire house with super detailed I did it in a very long day dreaming but I pretend I was asleep. I don't do it anymore, I try not to think I need to do that what I have I'm grateful for it. So gratefulness does help
