This happens to me too I make up a character and get a spark for a while and its a great high and then it fades away until I make up another. I always go over and over the same daydream until I get fed up with it and come back to it maybe a few weeks later.

I used to have this problem but for the last year my MD characters do not have faces. I still feel them and feel like I know them but they last way longer this way. My MD boyfriend has physical traits but I can’t see his face. Trust me this is strange to me too:)

I have a few celebrities that I use, plus a made up "real life" girlfriend and a girl I actually knew, but I have been shying away from the more real llife oriented ones lately.

For me it's almost the same. Except there is this one character for whom my feelings have never changed. When I develop a new crush on a character, I'll daydream about them for a while, until the sparks fades and ultimately I always come back to this one character. I'm still surprised that after a few years he is still the only aspect of my daydreams that never changes.

My main DD partner is my one and only love. I have a tons of... "temporary replacements"? that I gathered through the years. The feeling I harbour towards some of them is quite close to love, but it isn't really. The others are just nice stopgaps. Sometimes the crush fades away, sometimes it remains. I'm quite stable in it though. They're all fictional characters, mostly from anime.

Mine is based on my actual real-life crush with some fictional character qualities. Even their appearances and names are similar. Whenever I think about my actual crush, my DD crush comes up as well.
