I basically spent the majority of the day on the verge of tears because I think I completely lost muse for one of my daydreaming universes that I've had for the past couple of years. i think it fizzled out because the universe it is set in is fantasy and the "people" are 3d drawings, so no matter what, the images in my head are based on actions done in the game/animation/etc. I can't picture them in any other setting, just those singular spaces. However, with real people, it's much MUCH easier to situate them in any setting, even my own backyard. Because of this and a month of frustration of not being able to picture the storylines, I'm getting so annoyed to even try to MDD. Yet my mind slips into real life fantasies that I have no interest in bc I just want the 3d animations back, but for the life of me I can't picture them unless I watch it in action. I hope I'm making sense, or anybody can share their experiences.

Mine are always more or less realistic but if I watch a lot of one particular genre it will take on those characteristics; anime, for example, will make my DDs more 'cartoonish'. I rarely take characters from existing fiction, but it's happened a couple time, two from animation and one from a video game, all three of them look like real people in my DDs though.
