Hello everybody,
First, I want to excuse for any writing or grammar mistakes, my native language is not english and I don't use english that often.
My name is Yasmin, I am a 22 year old student from germany. I daydream since I can remember. I don't know the exact reasons (I can consider), but MD goes along with an eating disorder and sings of depression (question: is there anybody here with an eating disorder, too? I read a lot about MD and other disorders, but EDs were never mentioned).
I have been a performance athlete for several years and this time has caused my eating disorder, and as I can remember, MD became worse during this period.
I don't know what else I should write about myself. I just want to say that I am extremly happy that I stumbled across this forum. I alreay read a few threads and it feels so good not to be alone with this!

Welcome to the forum Yasmin. Maybe you could post in the Co-morbid Conditions board to see if there is anyone else that suffers from an ED? x

I don't personally have an eating disorder anymore, but it wouldn't really surprise me if maladaptive daydreaming and eating disorders were connected or comorbid or whatever else. As far as I can tell, daydreaming becomes maladaptive most often when you're dissatisfied with your life. Eating disorders seem to act similarly. I agree with Alvi, posting in the co-morbid conditions board could help.
