Yeah, sounds like it. If you have become intensely absorbed in daydreams such that it is interfering with other parts of your real life then MDD is likely an issue. That does not mean that there are not other things going on, too. Depression does not always manifest as sadness and feelings of despair. I think a lot of us have other issues besides just MDD. Of course, we cannot diagnose you. We are not mental health professionals, just people with similar experiences. If you think that your daydreaming is out of control then it might be best to seek professional advice if you can.

Thank you for your answer. I am afraid of another long stay at the hospital so I dare not explain myself to my psy. Once they let you in they don't let you out easy, you know? I will think about it.

Hi Julie welcome to the forum. Maybe you could just mention the daydreaming in a very minor way to your Pdoc. Just say that lately you've found yourself to be daydreaming a lot in order to escape your day to day life and see if they have any advice or suggestions on how to help you.
