I am not MD but my friend is and I'm trying to help him. He does not do forums or groups and lives a solitary life driving all over the USA for a living.
We met on vacation 2 years ago and have taken some great world trips together on his short vacation time off. He plays golf, ballroom dances, and reads books and works out at gym. I think there's dissociation and ADD too. It amazes me how he can go back and forth between two worlds. Exercise seems to help

Learning how to be completely in the present moment can help. So can learning to identify your triggers and sitting with the feelings that you get when triggered rather than immediately acting on them.

Wow, yeah, that sounds difficult, I mean, a lot of the advise is based around "get out there and engage in the real world" but your friend does that already. There's also the fact that he drives a lot, that's a massive mind-wandering trigger for people that don't even have MD! If driving is a concern I would say ditch music and switch to podcasts. What areas is he having difficulty in?

Does your friend see his daydreaming as a problem and want to change it or is this something he is happy doing?
