Hello, You may call me Italy. I have never used a forum before so I am pretty confused on what to do. I am at 18 years old and I just started college and my dream goal is to be a counseling psychologist (ironic, isn't it). I am also an introvert, specifically an INFJ, and My zodiac sign is Virgo. Ok, so with introduction out the way, I have to say I DAYDREAM ALOT. For how long, I do not know. But here is the thing, sometimes I act out my daydreams. I could be making weird faces or running or jumping around for no exact reason, and I am aware of it. My parents see it sometimes, especially my mom, and they think I am going mad. Other people see it too, I had this daydream while waiting for the bus stop and one of my classmates saw me acting out the dream. I don't want to be specific on my daydreams, but usually it is involved family members, friends and people I don't even know (perhaps, I made them up * face*). Sometimes, it just simple interactions with these people. I am new to cosplaying, so I sometimes have daydreams of going to conventions with my friends and these strangers. Other times, it death and tragedy, mostly with my family members, and sometimes it is me. These are not all the daydreams I have but they are the most occurring ones. I usually have daydreams when I am bored or when I am listening to music or just anything from media. For example, I was watching a cartoon ( I love cartoons by the way) and just one quote from the show triggered a bunch of daydreams. Altogether, whether this some form of maladaptive daydreaming or not, I wish for it to end. It is embarrassing and I feel horrible. I try to stop myself from acting out daydreams but it just a habit that refuses to die. Maybe, because I am somewhat lonely, reserved and have a strong desire to improve my social skills (then again I am walking oxymoron and being around people scares me sometimes). I just want a cure for this mayhem,so is there anything I can do to stop it or decrease the daydreams tremendously.Thank you for listening, and i'm sorry for the grammar.
