I have literally no idea how this all works like forms and stuff but like im tired of madd it takes up my time i never like even day dream what i want my feet always hurt i m never present i never get to enjoy music cuz immediately i start day dreaming i have other mental illness too and like i just want to have a normal brain you know??? I cant like do anything cuz i always end up day dreaming and it's always nothing i actually want to engage with if that makes sense???idk its like 130 am and i needed to like rant i dont want to b like this anymore you know??? It was okay when i was little but im like grown up its time i get better and put effort into healing

I ve been dealing with madd since i want to say i was like 8??? Maybe younger but i can remember daydreaming like maladaptively but i didnt know it had a name till abt 2017??? 2016??? Like it was so freeing to know it had a name that this was something other people felt you know???

I agree it is freeing to know that other people have this too. I can't remember exactly what it was that I googled back in 2015 but suddenly finding a community of people experiencing the same thing made it feel a little less isolating.
Feel free to share your thoughts and experiences with us here, there's no judgement and a lot of understanding people.

Comorbid mental health conditions are really common in people who have MD, so don't feel alone there. I think that a lot of us have been using daydreaming as a coping skill and its really hard to stop using coping skills, even if they are harmful to us. If you daydream as a coping skill, are there maybe other more healthy coping skills that you could use in place of daydreaming? Developing healthier coping skills could make it so that you don't feel like you have to rely on daydreaming to cope with your everyday life quite so much.
