Hi, all.
I am nineteen and only last night did I finally decide to type my "symptoms" into Google to see if anything would pop up. Daydreaming for hours on end, speaking aloud, acting out scenarios... Wasting so much time doing these things. I have been doing these for quite a few years and lately I have been struggling to keep control.
I read through a few articles on maladaptive daydreaming and I was directed to this site. I feel very overwhelmed at the moment. It is quite scary to me but I am glad there is a community for people that do these things. I hope that I can gather some sense of comfortability and understanding through everyone here. I want to understand what I experience so that if I seek any kind of help, I know exactly what to say or do to get it.
I hope this will be a turning point for me: finally accepting I have an "issue" and facing it head on with help from others on the same boat, as it were. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum!
You're right, recognizing that you have a problem is the first step to deal with it.
I like your profile pic, its from Harry Potter, right?
