Hii, is angel here. Looking through these posts I feel better knowing that there are people like me but at the same time I wonder if what I have is odd. Is there any expert or psychologist on here that could help me with these question? The question is what is wrong with me and why? I researched and though MDD has a name there is little info and that makes me feel terrible. What caused it and what led to it? Or better yet, how can I stop it?

You aren't crazy. Unfortunately, most health professionals don't know about MD, however, there is a wealth of threads here on the forum exploring what caused our daydreaming to become maladaptive and how to deal with it.
There are a few studies that have been done or are occurring currently that look to explore, explain, and treat maladaptive daydreaming, but most of the information that can be found about it right now is on forums like this.
Knowing that there isn't much to be done about it professionally can be hard to handle. But I've personally been helped greatly by becoming part of this forum and I know that many others have as well. I encourage you to look around at some of the threads that have been created because I'm sure that you'll be able to find some of the answers that you're looking for.
Welcome!
