So if your md is like mine, then you probably have a few different timelines (worlds) of different character and different stories. you probably also have just random daydreams you dont really repeat or try and complete and are just a single situation either in the past or in the future.
And i want to dedicate this post to the first kind, the different stories you daydream alot about and are just alterworlds with a lot of detail etc.
and my questions are: how much alternate worlds do you have? which one is your fav? and are your daydream worlds actually better then your current life?
i have like 6 of them:
2 of which very fictional and have almost noting to do with me (elves and what not), 2 of which are a on the fictional side (things that wouldnt really happen) but do have me as the protagonist, 1 thats very plausible but just sucks, and 1 which is a better version of my life.
and the weird thing is.. only the last one doesnt actually suck. like all the protagonists life a really joyless or painfull life but the last one but i still enjoy it more then my life because it isnt boring. even tho my life isnt actually bad at all.
my fav daydream world is a fictional one but where the protagonist is me. and its about my real life just being a mask for her spy life. so i do have just the same life in it but its all fake and i am actually a spy.
sooo, how about you?

I have a lot of worlds that I've daydreamed about over the years. Most of them are based on and include characters from books, tv, and movies. I can fall back into them whenever I want, but most of them have been essentially discarded. I still fall into them sometimes if I read or watch whatever the world is based on again, but for the most part I don't daydream about them anymore.
However, for the past year or so, I've had mainly 2 different worlds, and you could probably consider them my favorites, since I keep going back to them. One of them is fantasy that's based on a book series. Its my main one. I think I'm more attached to those characters than I have ever been to any other characters ever (I usually have more worlds than this, so I think that the focus on this one is making me form closer emotional bonds). The other world is real life based and usually includes my middle school peers as characters (that might sound weird, since I'm an adult, but I haven't really socialized with much of anyone since middle school, having gone to an online high school, so my brain likes daydreaming about reuniting with the people that I last socialized with). I daydream about this one less, probably because I feel guilty about it because creating fake friendships with people that I could actually at some point in my life talk to again could very easily mess up the real life friendships.

For the last 1-2 years I do only one real dream-world but it's like a trilogy. I call it "The Union" and it's a fictional setting. The first part/book/world is set here and now, the 2nd is a generation-ship and the 3rd is set on an alien planet. I switch between the parts but I can't always control it. The 1st part is very much influenced by real-world occurrences like wars and political things. Also it is very dependent on how I feel at the moment, the stories that happen are more or less reflections on my emotions. The 2nd part is much more "academic", like a thought-experiment on how society should be. I drew maps and plans and even researched a bit about various aspects. The 3rd part is very vague, more like a "real" dream, difficult to describe and even difficult to dream for a longer time.
My favorite is the 2nd one, because it's the only one that is kind of "productive", I learn things and I have maps/drawings, it's not only in my head.
Are my worlds better then my current life? Well, especially the 1st one is much more interesting, there are more adventures and more emotions then in my real life. But I wouldn't call it better.

(i think a little based on sherlocks sister eurus)

I have really bad social anxiety, which is the original reason for the isolation, but having all of the friends I could ever want inside my own head has made it really difficult for me to work on the social anxiety and become less isolated in real life.

My MHA x MM crossover is probably my favorite world I’ve come up with. MHA in general is a great MD world Bc of the infinite quirk possibilities. You can literally do anything you want and have an explanation for it. “I can control these crazy doc octopus arms Bc my quirk is controlling the electricity generated in my body, thusly, I’m gonna swing around buildings like gd Spider-Man.” It’s good fun.
