Hey Serenity! I’m glad you found this forum, too - it can be really relieving to know that you’re not alone in what you’re going through, after all. I hope to see more of you in the future!

Hi. Thank you all for being so welcoming. It really is a relief. Finding this forum. It's strange, though. Spending years knowing you disappear inside your own head, and believing it symptomatic of 'standard' mental health diagnoses. I actually wondered if it really was just me that does this. When I was in my teens (42 now) it was something I did in between things. Then I got older, and it became more prevalent. To a certain degree, I've compromised my ability to socialise as myself. I mean, at work and with friends it's like I'm playing a part rather than 'being'. I've decided to try to phase it out, to see whom I am without MDD. Its such a comfort knowing I'm not alone, and can speak up, here, without being judged. Thank you, again.
