Hello everyone, my username is snazzy but my real name is Isabella. I'm a 21 year old agriculture college student and I guess I suffer from MD.
I only saw this term a week ago, but everything clicked with me. I realize that I have been suffering from a very young age, and even now nearly 3/4 quarters of my day are spent daydreaming. The only time I don't daydream is at night, in class, and when I'm working out (schoolwork and exercise are the only awake activities I can do without daydreaming because my focus is 110% on those activities).
I guess I'm here to learn more about the condition. I'm scared of going to a therapist and them deeming my daydreaming as a symptom of depression (I "defeated" depression/PTSD/suicide from a sexual assault nearly 2 years ago).
I look forward to learning more!

Welcome to the forum
try not to be scared of going to a therapist as even if you visit and not discuss your daydreaming it may help you discuss things you hadn't even considered to be an issue.
The problem with MD is that its not a recognised condition so can not be diagnosed, this makes it difficult to get anyone to take it seriously and see just how negatively it can affect all our lives.
Take care

Welcome to the forum, Isabella!
I agree with Alvi, going to a therapist could still be beneficial. Why do you think that your daydreaming isn't a symptom of depression? I'm not saying that its the case with you, but a lot of us do have comorbid mental illnesses that have either caused or exacerbated our MD.
We look forward to hearing more from you!
