My goals for April:
- pay back all the debts - get out of the apathetic state I have been in
I guess that’s pretty much enough work :)

Its the first of the month, so its time for a new goals/accountability thread. As with the first two, the purpose is just so that people can share their goals for the month and to help others stay accountable to their goals. I, personally, have a much easier time actually accomplishing goals when I know that other people know about them and can help motivate me to complete them.
I truthfully can't think of much that I want to accomplish this month, but I'll try my best to come up with a few things. I would like to work on sitting with the urge to daydream without acting on it (I did amazing for a few days after my birthday last month, and then I slipped up and haven't really been able to garner that level of self control since). I need to continue to work on exposure therapy. I want to finish the crochet project that I'm currently working on. I want to send my friend a card and maybe a crochet beanie or something for her birthday on the 15th. And I'd like to spend some time with my grandma (I've been meaning to have her come over more frequently, but with getting our counters replaced and everything, it just hasn't happened yet).
Feel free to add to this thread whenever you'd like and remember that no goal is too small or inconsequential :)

My goals for April: - pay back all the debts - get out of the apathetic state I have been in I guess that’s pretty much enough work :) These are good goals AlisonI would recommend maybe trying to break them down into smaller pieces, as it can sometimes be difficult to start bigger goals like that because they can take a lot of time. Additionally, you should probably post this in the thread for April so that its easier to find.

My plant is still crooked but I tied it to a window hasp with a sock and two hair elastics. So I guess my goal for April is to not open the window and not let the cycle of xerophyte death by sidewalk continue :) . I also have a few scary doctors appointments I'm not looking forward to. Another goal is to go and not stay home because I'm scared. Maybe I should just give the stupid plant to someone who will appreciate it without shedding tears every time they see it. Goal of April - To not let potted plant become omen of sudden death - Write six chapters where protagonist doesn't see omens of death everywhere - Not read too much into coincidences like plant of death landing in front of my window while I was writing outline of funerals. Because I don't believe in omens like that. - To not begin believing in omens like that. As someone who is also having to deal with doctors appointments that they'd rather not have to go to, I understand how difficult it might be to not stay home. Keep us posted on how you're doing with that goal, it might be easier for you if you get some encouragement from other people on the forum. I would recommend moving this post to the new thread for April so that it'll be easier to find. You can literally just copy and paste the text if you'd like, it really doesn't matter.

I have to remember to pay a bunch of random stuff. I owe a friend 200 bucks and there some random school related charges that need to be sorted. It's nothing difficult, it's just that because they're not regular bills they keep slipping my mind and I don't want to be the jerk who "forgets" to hit their buddy back.

Maybe try writing it down on like a post it note or something and putting it on your fridge or somewhere that you see on a regular basis? That way you'll get a reminder whenever you look at it.

I don't think I did a March goals list but even if I did I know I didn't stick to it.
1. Stop boredom buying random crap I don't need. 2. Get rid of 100 items either by binning or donating. Sounds like a lot but I'm a bit of a hoarder. I did well on this in February then stopped trying in March. 3. Walk for 30 minutes or more at least every other day. As I struggle to go out its easy to make excuses not to do this and I'm really very unhealthy. 4. Try and improve my sleep pattern.

Sam I can’t quote you as I’m writing from my phone but thank you - glad we agree on this point! That’s what I’m doing now - making a plan of achieving this stuff. There’s a pretty cool app I found for that - gonna share it in a separate topic :)

Big goals: -Be a more active student and contribute insightfully to my classes. -Study hard for my tests and improve my physics grade. -Distance myself from a toxic childhood friend. Smaller: -Start learning how to play the piano regularly (small weekly or daily goals). -Get on an exercise schedule. -Read the news. Let's give this month our all

Thumbs up: These are some good and ambitious goals! There are quite a lot of them, so try your hardest to complete them all, but if you don't, don't be too hard on yourself. There are some apps that you can download to your phone that will tell you how much time you use it each day (I use an app called Moment, but there are plenty of others). Knowing how much time you spend on your phone, especially if the app tells you how much time you use each individual app, can really help you confront exactly how much time you're wasting. If I were you, I would pick a language and commit to learning, say, 50-100 new words this month. The idea of learning a new language can be really daunting, which makes it a difficult thing to begin, but if you set smaller goals like that, they can seem more achievable and thus less likely to cause you to panic and just not do the thing. As someone who personally struggles with self esteem issues that feed my daydreaming, I understand how difficult it can be to practice loving kindness toward myself. Perhaps every time you notice you're putting yourself down or critiquing yourself, you could think of one thing that you do like about yourself. They could be physical attributes, skills you have, personality traits... anything that you like about yourself will do. That way you can begin to fill your life with some extra positivity and love, instead of focusing on the things that you don't like about yourself. Make sure to check back here once in a while to update us all on your progress so that we can encourage you to keep working toward your goals!

But lets be positive. i can try from right now. Hope you reach your goals this month. thanks for getting my spirits up.
